Managing Attorney Daphnée Saget Woodley is a lawyer, social worker, educator, and board director with over two decades of experience working with tax exempt organizations in various capacities. Throughout her career, she has made serving and representing nonprofit organizations a priority. She believes in causes that promote social and economic equity and has extensive experience as an advisor.

 

Daphnée started her career as an attorney at an international law firm based in New York advising clients in media and other commercial industries as outside counsel. In this role, she lead the practice of lawyers visiting prisons to help incarcerated mothers with custody issues and helping undocumented youth with immigration petitions, while also serving as a director on multiple nonprofit boards. After practicing law as outside counsel in the private sector for nearly a decade, Daphnée began advising in the nonprofit sector as in-house General Counsel, Vice President and Assistant Secretary for a nonprofit performing arts organization and venue at Lincoln Center. Her practice expanded to offer fractional General Counsel services to a portfolio of uniquely positioned philanthropies, fiscal sponsors, Board Directors and nonprofit charitable organizations when Daphnee moved on to work with the Build Up Companies' Campbell Law Firm. While at Build Up Companies, Daphnee acted as Senior Counsel and Vice President of Innovation providing Board Director trainings, advisory services, coaching and legal support managing a range of issues related to institutional planning, governance, employment, intellectual property and litigation.
